Earlier this year I spent 6 weeks on an intensive training course with Epic Games, Industrial Light and Magic, the National Film and Television School and Future Screens Belfast to learn the art of Virtual Production.

Got to work on a number of stages, learning everything about the process from some of the top names and pioneers in the industry.

Course and masterclasses covered-

Technical Set Ups for NDisplay, Tracking Systems, Color ICIO, ICVFX, Multi-user servers, source control

Content Creation, including Environment Building, Technical Art, VFX, Optimisation, Pre-visualisation, Location Scouting and even some sessions on motion capture

Stage Operations/Tech Art/Optimisation

Got to meet some epic names and world class pioneers in the space from ILM and more. And spent time working on volumes at the Epic Innovation Centre in London and Studio Ulster in Belfast.

Mind blown. Have since been up to some things in a few other stages bringing my unreal engine knowledge into film and tv production, Exciting times
