CENTRE FOR DISRUPTIVE MEDIA

Academic Projects, 2010-15

Between 2010 and 2015 I worked as part of the project development team at the Centre for Disruptive Media at Coventry University, where I worked on a number of innovations in using web 2.0 for teaching, research and open learning.

This included setting up partnerships with Apple and Google, to create new ways to connect students to learning content. I created one of the first University iTunes sites in the UK, one of the first Youtube Edu partnerships.

I also developed a number of software applications and innovations, including work that was featured in Wired Magazine and helped the University to win awards for their pioneering research in this area. It's where I developed my first augmented reality campaign and did a number of innovations in digital publishing and archiving, including being a co-investigator on several major funded research projects.

I also developed a 'Digital Media BA' degree, which now has over 120 students learning about the future of media content, platforms and technical innovation every year.
